Quail Hollow Community

Parent Participation

At Quail Hollow, families are more than visitors—they are an important part of our school community. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we believe parents are a child's first teachers and that strong partnerships between families and educators create the foundation for children's success.

Research shows that when families are connected and involved in their child's education, children benefit. Our cooperative model creates a place where parents are not only welcomed, but truly valued as partners in their child's learning experience.

Why Our Cooperative Model Matters
The cooperative nature of Quail Hollow is central to who we are. Through shared involvement, families and teachers work together to support our children, strengthen our community, and help create a high-quality program for future generations.

Parent participation allows families to build meaningful relationships, contribute their talents and experiences, and become an active part of their child's school journey.

What To Expect
Each family contributes to the success of the school in ways that support our classrooms, facilities, and community. Families are expected to:
  • Complete volunteer hours each school year
  • Participate in parent work days
  • Support fundraising efforts
  • Attend cooperative and parent-teacher meetings
  • Learn about and support the Reggio Emilia approach
  • Participate in committees or special projects
There are many ways to contribute, and families are encouraged to share their unique skills, interests, and ideas.

Building Community Together
Whether helping with school improvements, supporting events, sharing a special talent, or connecting with other families, every contribution strengthens the Quail Hollow community.

Our cooperative model gives children the opportunity to see their parents and teachers working together with a shared purpose—creating a supportive environment where children feel connected, confident, and inspired to learn.
